Transactional Replication, Initialize from Backup File and Add Article

I have been scouring Google for days now with no solid answer on a particular matter regarding the subject of this post. I have managed to setup transactional replication using a backup file for initialization with no issue. I have a pull subscription setup to this publication and it is able to pull in any data changes once I'm going. Where I'm having issues is finding out the exact details on adding a new article. At one point I thought I ran across some details on how to setup a new article and then create a snapshot to send the new article to the subscriber with only the new article--not a complete database snapshot. However, I can't seem to find where I thought I found this information before. It seems most indicators are that I have to manually setup the article (ie: a table) on the publisher and subscriber manually, then I can add the article to the publication and begin replicating it.Can someone confirm with me 100% if a snapshot can be used at all to push out a new article in a publication after having setup transactional replication from a backup file, or are snapshots something that aren't ever used under any condition to push out updates once replication is going from a backup file initialization? Are any sort of additions of articles handled manually on both ends? Thanks.
